China Council for the promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) is also called
China Chamber of International Commerce. The aims of the CCPIT are to operate and promote foreign trade, to utilize foreign investment, to conduct activities of Sino-foreign economic and technological cooperation, to promote the mutual understanding and friendship of economic and trade relations between China and other countries and regions around the world, in line with laws, regulations and government policies of the People's Republic of China and with the reference of international practice.
CCPIT is a corporation, which could sign agreements, protocols and other documents about trade promotion, investment and economic cooperation with related organizations, institutions and International Trade Organization in all the other countries and regions.
Major Subordinate Departments and Business of CCPIT
Presently, the CCPIT has under it 51 local branch offices, 20 industrial branch offices, more than 600 sub-level branch offices and county-level chambers of commerce, and more than 60,000 member enterprises which have formed a working network covering all parts of China and all sectors in the country.
